Apartment Rentals in Panama City's Old Town

Dating back to 1673, Casco Viejo or Casco Antiguo, is the old town of Panama, situated on a peninsula on the west side of the city bay. Characterized by its colonial architecture, it wasn’t until recently that international investment dollars fueled the rejuvenation of this neighborhood, giving rise to the renovation of colonial buildings.

This tropical metropolis is unique compared to rest of Latin America with the third largest amount of high rises in North America, it looks and feels drastically different from its neighbors. In this city, old meets new where worlds collide, connecting trade routes through the Panama Canal.

So when it comes to accommodation options, there is no shortage of options or variety. In this brief article, I’m introducing you to the Casco Viejo options for those of you interested in the colonial design and feel.

Within the old town neighborhood there are a load of bars, restaurants, and knick-knack shopping options, but when it comes to renovated mansions, there are only a handful given that most of these larger buildings have been sparsed off into multiple units. If you have a small group then these options work for you, but the biggest colonial mansion available has a capacity of 9.

Our team has scoured the streets of Casco Viejo and identified these amazing options, blocks away from each other.

We begin, smallest to largest:
